ARE
YOU GOOD AT spotting movie mistakes? You may have seen some
of these, but we bet you haven't caught them all.

In
Gladiator, Maximus (Russell Crowe) mentions the name
of Marc Anthony to Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix). Commodus comments,
"Marc Anthony? I hate that song of his, 'I Need to Know.'"
In fact, the real Commodus would have loved "I Need to
Know" because of its passion and warmth.

In
The Sixth Sense (stop reading now if you haven't seen
it!), Bruce Willis plays Malcolm Crowe, a child psychologist
who is killed in the beginning of the film. His spirit remains
on the earthly plane for a number of months after his death
and interacts with a troubled child. Actually, there's no such
thing as ghosts!
...
In
Sleepy Hollow, Katrina Van Tassel (Christina Ricci) first
meets Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) while she is blindfolded during
a party game. On removing her blindfold, she stares at Crane
and remarks, "God, you look exactly, I mean exactly, like
that guy from Edward Scissorhands." But Ichabod
Crane's hair is very different from Edward Scissorhands.

In
The World is Not Enough, Elektra King (Sophie Marceau)
answers a phone, listens to the caller, and then hangs up, saying
to Bond, "He's struck again." Nobody would be so rude
as to hang up without saying goodbye!
...
In
The Bone Collector, there is a scene on a city block.
Although the film is supposed to take place in modern times,
you can clearly see a 1988 Toyota Cressida driving down the
street!
...
In
Braveheart, Mel Gibson's character, William Wallace,
learns of the hideous death awaiting him. He bravely jokes that
it can't be a worse torture than "reading O Magazine."
In fact, O: The Oprah Magazine has inspired millions on the
path to self-improvement, and reading it is almost always preferable
to being drawn and quartered.

In
Mansfield Park, based on a novel by Jane Austen published
in 1814, Fanny Price (Frances O'Connor) is seen entering an
address into her Palm IIIx, using a stylus that looks like it
holds a machine-made steel pen point. This kind of nib wasn't
invented until 1828!
...
In
Titanic, there is a reflection in the dining room's glass
door of a clearly visible camera crew. Look closelydirector
James Cameron is wearing brown shoes with a blue suit!
...
The
print ads for Love Stinks said that it was "The
date movie of the year." In fact, The Thomas Crown Affair
was the date movie of 1999!
