Thursday, Oct. 18, 10 p.m. at the Slipper Room, please join us for a comedy cabaret to celebrate the release of our book, Rough Draft: Pop Culture the Way It Almost Was. Presented by our friends at "The Shark Show" ("variety with bite"), the evening is a benefit for the Dean Street Heroes Fund, which raises money for the families of seven firefighters from the Dean Street firehouse in Brooklyn who died on September 11.
Tickets are $10, 100% of which will be donated to the fund. The comedy, featuring performances by Wilson Hall and Krister Johnson, will commence at 10 pm at the Slipper Room at 167 Orchard Street, one block below Houston St., on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Thursday, Oct. 25, 7:30 pm, writers and actors from Modern Humorist will be reading and performing from "Rough Draft" at Barnes & Noble in Park Slope, Brooklyn. If you get bored with us, they have a wide selection of magazines to browse. The store is located at 267 7th Avenue at the corner of 6th St, near the F, 2, 3, and Q trains.
